Design that stays consistent after we leave. We build the templates, set the type and colour rules, and hand over the editable files so your team can keep producing without coming back to us for every social post.
Quick Answer
Graphic design covers a wide spread of work, and the useful distinction is not pretty versus plain — it is one-off versus system. One-off design is a specific artefact you need once: a trade-stand banner, a capability document, a pitch deck for a funding round. System design is a set of rules and templates your team uses repeatedly: social post layouts, proposal templates, product sheet formats. Most Auckland businesses pay for one-off design when what they actually need is a system, then wonder why every asset looks like it came from a different company. We will tell you which one your brief calls for.

A brief starts with what the asset has to do and where it will exist. A brochure handed over at a trade stand needs different hierarchy from the same content as a downloadable PDF. We ask for copy first — final or close to it — because designing around placeholder text and then receiving twice as much means rebuilding the layout. If the copy is not written yet, say so at the briefing and we will design to a word count you commit to. That constraint saves a revision round on almost every print job.
We design in Figma for digital and screen work, and in Adobe InDesign and Illustrator for anything going to print. You review in the browser through a Figma link with commenting on, so feedback sits on the artwork rather than in an email describing which corner you mean. Two revision rounds are standard for a single asset. Larger builds are staged with approval gates, so you sign off type and colour direction before we lay out sixteen pages using them.
A design system, at the size of business we typically work with, is not a hundred-page brand manual. It is type styles with real sizes, a palette with hex, CMYK and Pantone values, logo files in every format with clear-space rules, an image direction, and locked master templates in Canva or Figma your marketing coordinator can edit without breaking. We build templates with locked layers, so text and images swap but the grid, type and colour stay fixed. That is what keeps output consistent six months later.

Per-deliverable ranges for the New Zealand market: a single social graphic sits around NZ$90 to NZ$180, and a set of six to ten editable social templates NZ$800 to NZ$2,000. Business cards and stationery run NZ$450 to NZ$1,200. An 8 to 16 page brochure or capability document is typically NZ$1,200 to NZ$3,000 depending on page count and image work. A pitch or investor deck runs NZ$1,500 to NZ$4,000, driven mostly by how much of the content needs charts and diagrams built from scratch. Pull-up banners and event graphics sit around NZ$350 to NZ$900 per piece.
Larger pieces: a proposal or tender template system, which pays for itself the first time you win with it, generally runs NZ$2,000 to NZ$5,000. A working design system with type styles, colour, logo rules and locked templates lands around NZ$2,500 to NZ$6,000. Ongoing retainers for teams that need steady output — campaign creative, monthly social sets, sales collateral — typically run NZ$900 to NZ$3,000 per month depending on volume and turnaround expectations. Print production is billed separately by the printer; we supply the artwork and manage the proofing rather than marking up the print.
On production, Auckland is well served and most of the commercial print capacity sits in the Penrose, Onehunga and East Tamaki industrial belt, with signage and large-format specialists across West and South Auckland. Digital print for short runs of business cards or brochures is usually two to five working days after artwork approval. Offset for larger runs is one to two weeks. Signage and vehicle livery need artwork built to the installer's template at their scale, so we ask for their specification sheet before starting rather than after. Always sign off a hard proof for anything where brand colour genuinely matters — screens lie.
Why Choose Us
The collateral we produce most often for New Zealand clients is fairly consistent. Business cards and stationery. Capability statements and service brochures, usually 8 to 16 pages. Proposal and tender templates, which matter enormously if you bid for council or corporate work. Pitch and investor decks. Vehicle livery and signage artwork. Pull-up banners and stand graphics for trade shows. Packaging labels, product sheets, and ad creative sets for paid campaigns. Each has different technical requirements, and the file that works on Instagram will not work at a signwriter.

Investor decks, capability presentations, and tender and proposal templates. Charts and diagrams rebuilt properly rather than pasted from a spreadsheet, in a master file your team reuses for every future submission.
Display, social and search ad sets built to each placement's exact dimensions, with variant sets for testing. Text sized to survive platform compression and stay legible on a phone held at arm's length.
Type styles with real sizes, colour values in hex, CMYK and Pantone, logo files with clear-space rules, image direction, and locked master templates. The practical version, not a hundred-page manual nobody opens.
Figma, InDesign and Illustrator sources, packaged fonts and links, exported PDFs and a plain-language spec note. You own the artwork and can take it anywhere — no dependency on us to change a phone number on a flyer.
Industries
Kiwitech works with Auckland and wider New Zealand businesses across 25+ industries, but four verticals dominate our roster: property (Auckland developers, apartment launches, agency networks), education (private schools, tertiary providers, edtech), healthcare (specialist groups, dental and dermatology clinics, allied-health practices), and food and beverage (CBD and Ponsonby cafes, Britomart fine dining, food-court chains, cloud kitchens). SaaS, D2C retail, fashion boutiques across Newmarket and Ponsonby, and South Auckland industrial manufacturers round out the next tier of growing accounts.

Our Process
A 5-step playbook we run with every Auckland client. Same rigor for a NZ$2,000/month SMB engagement and a NZ$15,000/month enterprise pod — only the depth changes.
What the asset does, where it lives, who sees it, and the deadline it has to hit.
Final or near-final copy, logo files, photography and any existing brand rules collected up front.
Type, colour and layout direction agreed on a sample before the full set gets built.
Full artwork produced, reviewed on a commentable Figma link, two consolidated rounds included.
Print-ready and web exports, plus editable source files, packaged fonts and a spec note.

Yes, always. You receive the Figma files for digital work and the InDesign or Illustrator sources for print, with fonts and links packaged, plus exported PDFs and a note listing colour values and type sizes. Fonts under a commercial licence are supplied as a licence reference rather than the font file itself, because licences are not ours to transfer.
Two consolidated rounds per asset. A round is one set of feedback delivered at once. For larger builds like a collateral suite or a template system we stage approvals instead — you sign off type and colour direction on a sample page before we lay out the rest, which avoids reworking sixteen pages over a font change.
Print needs CMYK or Pantone colour, 3mm bleed, crop marks, images at 300dpi at final size and outlined or embedded fonts. Digital needs RGB, exact pixel dimensions per placement, compressed file sizes, and text large enough to survive platform re-encoding. They are separate exports from the same design. We supply whichever formats you actually need rather than a folder of everything.
Yes, and we would rather you send the guidelines than describe them. Send the PDF, the logo files and any existing templates. If the guidelines have gaps — no defined chart style, no rule for social crops, no secondary palette — we will flag them and either work to a sensible interpretation you approve, or quote separately to fill the gap properly so the next designer is not guessing too.
We prepare and check the artwork and manage the proofing, and we can brief printers directly in the Penrose, Onehunga and East Tamaki area or work with a printer you already use. Printing is billed by the printer to you rather than marked up through us. For colour-critical jobs we recommend paying for a hard proof before the run — a screen is not a reliable preview of ink on stock.
